Back in March 2018, Royan was measured to be moderately stunted. With the initiative of Max Foundation, his family became aware about the health risks and started taking measures to create a healthier environment. The outcome is encouraging: Royan is growing up up up. He is out of the real danger zone, being only mildly stunted and much better nourished than before. Just after Royan turned two, he was gifted with a healthy baby brother, named Rafan. Royan seems really happy to have this precious gift, already watching over him as a caring older brother.

Since his parents lost their first child, and found out that their second child was stunted, they have been very conscious about taking precautions during the pregnancy period for third child. This time, Royan’s mother attended all the four ANCs which were required. She along with her husband, went all the way to Sylhet to do all the check-ups. She was always aware to take care of herself and eat proper nutritious food and take rest. The baby was delivered in a private hospital in Sylhet and the family did all the arrangements for the delivery beforehand as example, they made provision of blood and sufficient amount of money in case of emergency and etc. Now both the mother and the baby is healthy and happy.

Both Royan and Rafan are getting the necessary vaccinations and are blooming in a healthy environment. Royan sits around the toddler all day long and cheerfully tries to play with him.. Follow Royan and his little brother to see how they both are growing up, up, up.
